There are more than just plants that make up Lincoln Memorial Garden. People are an important part of the Garden as well. This includes board members, volunteers, staff, and most important of all, members. It's the Garden's members who attend programs, members who use and appreciate the Garden, and members that form the core from which the Garden draws its volunteers, board members and loyal supporters.
There are several benefits in being a member of Lincoln Memorial Garden. They include:
- The Garden's seasonal newsletter which keeps members informed of Garden events and activities;
- Reduced fees for some events and classes;
- First notice on many programs offered - some of which fill before they are announced to the general public;
- A 10% discount on items in the Garden's gift shop (except books);
- The knowledge that you are helping to maintain one of the most beautiful places in Central Illinois.
- This year we are excited to announce another new benefit for Garden members. Lincoln Memorial Garden has become a member of the American Horticultural Society (AHS), and thus our members will have reciprocal privileges to over 250 botanical gardens, arboreta, and conservatories across the country. These gardens will offer special admission prices and many other benefits to AHS Garden members.
When you visit the Garden, chances are that many of the people you pass along the trails, meet at an event, or see in the Nature Center are members of the Garden. They're members because they enjoy and use the Garden, they care about the Garden, and they want to make sure the Garden continues to be maintained as its founders and designer envisioned.
